I'm A Rainbow (Mercury, 1996)
Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, producers.
This album was recorded in 1981. Geffen Records declined to release it, and instead paired Donna with Quincy Jones to make
Donna Summer. Bootleg copies of this album circulated for years, until it was finally released on Mercury Records in 1996. (Note: some bootlegs contained an additional track called Walk Hand In Hand which I have heard may have actually been recorded for the Quincy Jones album. And I have also heard that Donna recorded You'll Never Walk Alone for this album, but then replaced it with Don't Cry For Me Argentina. Supposedly, You'll Never Walk Alone is now being saved for a POSSIBLE future gospel album.)
